K. Speed were conducted Thursday morning at the First Baptist church with the Rev. W. T. Cost officiating. Mrs. Speed died early Tuesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. A. Smith in Moran, Texas. She formerly resided in Sayre but had made her home with her daughter for some years. Her husband preceded her in death 10 years ago. Survivors include her daughters, Mrs. Allie Owings, Norman; Mrs. Smith of Moran, Mrs. Nena Chumney of Hobbs, N.M., and her songs, Dr. Speed of Sayre, Major Oscar Speed of Van Nuys, Calif, Ira Speed of Washington, D. C., and a number of grandchildren. Interment was in the Sayre-Doxey cemetery with the Littrell-Scroggins funeral home in charge. Bearers for the service were Otho Stephers, Roy Cain, Frank Carmichael, Cecil Summers, W. F. Sides and W. D. Lakey.
