Bio

November 17, 1912 - October 9, 2014 Willie Mae graduated from high school in McKinney, Texas, and attended Draughon's business college. She worked as an office manager at the Huddleston Dental Lab in Wichita Falls for over 17 years and the Trust Department at First National Bank in Fort Worth before retiring and moving to Lubbock in 1975. Willie Mae was a member of Bacon Heights Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing cards with friends, listening to programs on the radio, and spending time with family. She will be remembered for her quiet, kind spirit, and always welcoming smile. She was preceded in death by her parents; nephew, Monty Davenport and wife, Sue(Gound); great-niece, Kelli (Davenport) Hartman; brothers, Earl and wife, Irene (Pearce), Otto and wife, Lola (Jenkins); and a brother, age two; sisters, Faye Nell Young and husband, Chester; and Marie, age five. Willie Mae never married nor had children.
