Bio
Sharron LeRae (Welty) Bean, 77, left us Sept. 17, 2015, in Callaway. She was born to Richard and Margie (Geiser) Welty on April 22, 1938, on her grandparents’ farm north of Arnold. On May 20, 1956, she was married to Ronnie Bean at the United Methodist Church in Arnold by her Uncle Ole’ McGuire. Three children were born to this marriage, Debbie, David and Darry. They lived on the Bean family farm until 1968, when they moved to town. Sharron started selling Avon and continued to sell. For many years she went from house to house, visiting with everyone. She was the secretary of Arnold Alumni for many years. In 1992, they purchased Bean’s Boutique in Arnold. They both enjoyed the business very much but sold it in 2006 for health reasons. In 2007, they drove to Lancaster, South Carolina, and took a cruise with Darry and Sherry. Sharron never stopped talking about it and would have stayed on the ship forever. She loved crocheting, embroidery, watching the birds and squirrels, taking care of her flowers and canning. Most of all, she loved having her whole family at the house. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Ronnie; children, Debbie (Don) Brosius, David (Patty) Bean and Darry (Sherry) Bean; grandchildren, Jenna (Jeromy) Matthies, John (Tiffany) Brosius, Adam (Nicky) Bean, Logan (Maggie) Bean and Lyndsee (Corey) Clifton; and 18 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 21, at the United Methodist Church in Arnold with the Rev. Bill Williams officiating. Burial will be at the Arnold Cemetery. Arnold Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
