Hill Melba F. Hill, 86, a Deming resident, passed away Thursday January 19, 2012 at Mimbres Memorial Nursing Home. A Graveside funeral service will be Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock at The Masonic Cemetery in Las Cruces, 760 S. Compress Road, with Rev. Paul Wood of The Assembly of God Church and Allan Ward officiating. Melba was born November 1, 1925 in Coupland, Texas to Flora Wolf and Walter Ihlenfeldt. She had been a Deming resident for 3 years coming from Jal, NM. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church where she was active with the prayer group. Melba is survived by her sister, Vivian Ward and husband, Edwin of Hatch; sister-in-law, Janice Walker of Artesia; brother-in-law, Wayne Hill of Hope, NM; nieces and nephews, Jerry Ward (Stephanie), Allan Ward (Cathi), Mike Ward, Kathleen Keene (Clyde), Marleen Ward (Tony Limon) and numerous great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Flora Ihlenfeldt and her husband, Richard D. Hill. Entrusted to the care of Baca's Funeral Chapels.
