Funeral services for Juanita Arrington, age 80, of Jacksonville, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Dr. John Gregson and Don Copeland officiating. Interment will be at Jarratt Cemetery in Jacksonville with Bro. David Smith officiating. Mrs. Arrington passed away Saturday, October 4, 2014 in Tyler. She was born March 29, 1934 in Childress County to Orval P. and Mabel Maroney Owen. Juanita graduated from Jacksonville Baptist College and attended Stephen F. Austin University. She worked as a teacher and was employed by Headstart in Jacksonville and Rusk. She was a member at Craft Baptist Church in Jacksonville and was a Sunday School Teacher for 35 year. Juanita enjoyed reading and collecting books. She loved watching her grandchildren grow up. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, L. C. Arrington of Jacksonville; son, Jimmy Arrington and wife Kelly of Jacksonville; grandsons, Dusty Arrington and wife Aimee, and Ryan Arrington; granddaughter, Katelyn Arrington; brother in-law M.D. Arrington and sister in-law Marie Dumoelin. Pallbearers will be Scott Alexander, Terry Arrington, Dusty Arrington, Ryan Arrington, Albert Gonzales and Gary Lewis. Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Bob Foster, Tommy Arrington, Ray Travis Meador, Johnny Eargle, Dr. Ira Stevens, Andy Head, Jeremy Harmel and Weldon Lightsey. Visitation with family will be Saturday morning October 11, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville. Rather than customary condolences, donation in memory of Juanita to Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd. Tyler, Texas 75701 or Craft Baptist Church Building Fund.
