Daytona Beach News-Journal (FL) - Tuesday, July 30, 2013 Nansee L. Gahagan, 67, of New Smyrna Beach, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013 at the Southeast Volusia Hospice Care Center, Edgewater. Mrs. Gahagan was born in Chicago, IL and moved to the area 30 years ago from her birthplace. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, traveling and loved holding hands and spending time with family. Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Maurice E.; son, Mark (Jessica) Hoffman of Chicago; two step sons, Bill (Shannon) Gahagan of Palm Harbor and Michael (Amy) Gahagan of Fletcher, NC; step daughter, Claire (Shawn) McAdams of Deltona; stepmother, Barbara Bidwell of New Smyrna Beach; sister, Francene Darrah of Chicago; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Oliver Bidwell and Dorothy Voorhees Bidwell. Memorial service will be 11 Thursday, August 1, 2013 at the Southeast Volusia Hospice Care Center, 4140 S. Ridgewood Ave., Edgewater. Rev. Linda Kemp-Baird, Hospice Chaplain, will officiate. Cremation will be by Dudley Crematory,New Smyrna Beach.
