Richard Clinton Ellard Nov 7,1927-Sept 16,2006 Richard Clinton Ellard, 78, of Scottsbluff, died Aug. 16, 2006, at Regional West Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Aug. 19, at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the Bayard Cemetery with military honors by the Nebraska National Guard. Richard was born Nov. 7, 1927, in Bayard, Neb. to Frank and Dessa (Kern) Ellard. He received his education in Bayard where he graduated from high school. He served in the US Navy during WW II. Richard owned and operated a furniture store, apartment building, truck stops in Nebraska and Colorado and motels in Sidney and Kimball. He married Lila Kriz April 25, 1974, in Cheyenne, Wyo.Richard was a lifetime member of Eagles Aerie #136 of Alliance, Neb. Preceding him in death are his parents, baby daughter and sister Violet Snyder.
