Wilbert Alvin Mueller, age 74 of La Grange passed away on September 30, 2014. Wilbert was born on January 9, 1940 in La Grange to Alvin Mueller and Edna Albers Mueller. Wilbert married Mary Chovanec on September 24, 1966 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Grange. He was self-employed in the agriculture industry. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council #2574 and the Fayette County Farm Bureau. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife Mary; two sisters, Mildred Frenzel and husband Leslie and Nila Kneip; two brothers-in-laws, Edward Chovanec, Frank Chovanec and wife Alice and one sister-in-law, Georgie Kossa; twelve nieces and nephews also survive. Wilbert was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers-in-law, Charles Chovanec, Ronald Kneip and George Kossa. Visitation is scheduled at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. Rosary will be recited. Funeral services are scheduled at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Grange. Interment will follow in the La Grange City Cemetery.
