Billy Ray “Bill” Tyler, age 75, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2014, at Owasso, Okla. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2014, at 2:00 p.m., in The Chapel at Griffin~ Hillcrest Funeral Home of Ardmore, Okla. Bill was born on November 15, 1938, in Legate, Okla. He attended Ardmore High School and was a graduate of the Class of 1957. He spent most of his working life in the aircraft manufacturing industry and retired from McDonnell Douglas in Tulsa, Okla. Bill enjoyed playing golf, watching football and the Golf Channel, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Opal Vaughan Moates. Bill is survived by his son, Billy Duane Tyler, of Scurry, Texas, sister Dianne Lewellen and husband, Rick, of Plano, Texas. Two nieces; Keri Norris and husband, Steven, of Allen, Texas, and Katie Nunez and husband, Jett, of Red Oak, Texas. Great-niece, Verity Norris, of Allen, Texas. Aunt, Ruby Dollar, of Ardmore, Okla.
