**Lake Charles American Press May 10, 2011** Melva Hix, 94, of Lake Charles died at 12:05 a.m. Sunday, May 1, 2011 in a local care facility. After retiring from Cities Service Mrs. Hix had a wonderful and adventurous life with the love of her life, her husband Tommy Hix. He adored her in every way. She was proceeded in death by her husband who passed away in January. Services were held for Mrs. Hix and her husband on Monday, May 9, 2011 at Creel Cemetery where they were buried together. Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
