SEVERT E. SWANSON VACAVILLE - Funeral services have been held for Severt Elwood Swanson, 71, who died last week on the family ranch in Paradise Valley, north of Fairfield. Swanson was a lifelong Solano County farmer. He attended the old Dover School and was graduated from Armijo School in 1922. He was a member of the Solano County Farm Bureau, the Solano County Taxpayers Association, the Sugarbeet Growers Association, the Sun Sweet Growers Association, served as a trustee of Dover School District for 15 years, served 20 years as a director of the Solano Irrigation District, and was a past master of Suisun Masonic Lodge. Surviving him are his wife, Edith; sons Dr. Samuel Edward Swanson, Stanford, and Thomas Elwood Swanson, who resides on the family ranch.
