Bio

Dykes was born in Dykes, Kentucky on July 20, 1895 and died in a Bakersfield hospital Tuesday morning. He was a retired machinist, having worked for Aero Quip for 10 years. He liked to fish and had lived on the West Side for the past 28 years. He was a member of the Taft Church of Christ. His survivors include a son Wiley L. Dykes; a sister Carrie Morgan; a granddaughter; a grandson; and five great grandchildren.
