Services for Marie Mince Carter, 90, Athens, are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Eubank Funeral Home, Canton, with Terry Carter officiating.Burial will be in Cool Springs Cemetery, Tundra community. Ms. Carter died March 5, 1020, in Athens. Survivors include daughter, Carol and Travis Deen; son, Donnie and Charlene Stanley; brothers, Durwood and Billy Ray Mince; grandchildren, Tess Webb, Dana Kinion, Andrea Deen, Sheila Durden, Matt, Darrell, Alicia, Tina and Melissa Stanley; and numerous great-grandchildren. Services for Marie Mince Carter , 90, of Athens, TX, are scheduled for 2:00 PM Sunday March 7, 2010 at Eubank Funeral Chapel with Mr. Terry Carter officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton. Mrs. Carter was born February 15, 1920 in China Grove Community, TX, to William Elbert and Vera Alma McCreary Mince. She was a member of China Grove Baptist. Grew up in Kerens, Texas but lived most of her life in China Grove Community. She was a seamstress for Mr. Fine's and Sue Ann's Sewing Factory. She enjoyed sewing and shopping. Mrs. Carter loved gardening, cooking, canning & spending time with her family. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Q. R. Carter, 2 Sons, Cpt. Lynn Stanley & Lt. Jimmie Stanley. Surviving are Daughter & Son-in-law, Carol & Travis Deen of Wills Point, TX, Son & Daughter-in-law, Donnie & Charlene Stanley of Athens, TX, 9 Grandchildren: Tess Webb, Dana Kinion, Andrea Deen, Sheila Durden, Matt Stanley, Darrell Stanley, Alicia Stanley, Tina Stanley & Melissa Stanley, Numerous Great-Grandchildren. 2 Brothers, Durwood Mince of Madisonville, TX, & Billy Ray Mince of Highland Park, Ill.
