Kenneth Kreikemeier June 22, 1945 - Sep. 19, 2014 Services for Kenneth Kreikemeier, 69, of West Point were scheduled at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in West Point with burial in St. Michael’s Cemetery and a luncheon at Guardian Angels cafeteria. Minnick Funeral Home in West Point is in charge of services. He died Friday, Sept. 19, 2014, at the Parkview Home in Dodge. The family suggests memorials to the GACC Endowments or to family choice for future designation. Kenneth Aloys Kreikemeier was born on June 22, 1945, at West Point to Aloys and Mathilda (Klitz) Kreikemeier. He attended St. Boniface School at Monterey and was part of the last graduating class from Guardian Angels High School in 1963. He attended the seminary in Wisconsin before returning to the family farm due to his father’s death. On Sept. 4, 1966, he was united in marriage to Mary Ellen Dinslage at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in West Point. Ken served in the United States Army Reserves for six years. Ken farmed and was a fertilizer applicator for Kaup’s, and since moving to the farm where they currently lived in 1973 had also operated Double K Cattle Company. Ken was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where he served as a Lector and EME and also had served on the Parish Council. He was a 3rd Degree member of Knights of Columbus Council 2272. Ken had served on the Farmer’s Co-op Board, Cuming County Extension Board, Cuming County Rural Water Board and was a member of the Cuming County Feeders Association. He also enjoyed going to coffee at the Beemer Roundtable, where he was known as Bluejay. Survivors include wife Mary Ellen Kreikemeier of West Point; son Todd and Leslie Kreikemeier of West Point and sons Will, Coy and Gavin; son Jay and Denise Kreikemeier of West Point and daughters Avery, Amber and Abby; brother David and Betty Kreikemeier of Ft. Collins, Colo.; sister Mary Ann and Wendall Emmanuel of North Bend; sisters-in-law Doris and Harry Knobbe of West Point, Joan and Vaughn Livingston of Shenandoah, Iowa. Several nieces and nephews also survive Ken. Ken was preceded in death by his parents and a brother and his wife, Robert and Dorothy Kreikemeier.
