Bio

Kenneth W. Hunt, age 88, passed away September 16th, 2014, at Risen Son Christian Village. He was born August 13, 1926, in Silver City, Iowa, to Clarence and Helen Hunt. Kenneth graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1943, in Council Bluffs. He was in the Navy from 1944 through 1946 serving in Hawaii and Saipan. He married Winifred Viola Mayo on March 30, 1947, in Lytton, Iowa. They had 3 daughters. Kenneth worked for 45 years at Iowa Power and Light Co. (Currently Mid- American Energy) as an electrician. He was a member of New Horizon Presbyterian Church where he served on the session, taught Sunday School, and was a member of the Mariners group. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star, VFW, and a 65 year member of American Legion. His hobbies included golf at Treynor golf course and using his computer skills later in life by emailing relatives and friends.
