In Memory of Don F. Wallace February 11, 1936 - September 14, 2014 Obituary Don F. Wallace, longtime resident of Forney, passed away Sept. 14, 2014. He was born in Leonard, TX on Feb. 11, 1936 to Royce and Alma Wallace, both of whom preceded him in death. Don was a devoted husband and father and a notorious prankster with an enormous sense of humor. If he wasn’t telling a funny story, playing a joke or trying to startle someone, he was taking time to spend with his kids, grandkids and great grandkids. He was a man who took loyalty to heart and, as such, he served honorably with the US Army with two tours in Vietnam. His service to his country was varied as he was a paratrooper, a sniper, and would be critical in communications implementation, a task that he continued when he remained a government contractor for communications. After his return home, he held various positions where his interests lay: steel work, concrete estimator, and as a driver on the tow truck for an auto-body shop. Even though he retired from these types of jobs, his love of meeting people kept him going and just recently, before his health began to decline, he was a greeter and sacker at Brookshires. A man of integrity, love and honest values, Don will be missed by all who knew him and his legacy will be treasured by those who loved him. Don is survived by his “bride” (all he ever called her) of 34 years, Katherine (Lou) Wallace of Forney, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; 2 brothers and one sister as well as a host of extended family and friends. Service and burial information unavailable. MEMORIAL BY: ANDERSON CLAYTON FUNERAL HOME TERRELL, TX
