Effie Dean Kelm, 93, of Thrall, Texas passed away on Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, at Taylor Care Center in Taylor. She was born to Ernest Wesley and Viola (Stinnett) Shelgren on Dec. 31, 1913. Effie married Albert P. Kelm Sr. on Feb. 8, 1931 and celebrated 60 years of marriage. She was a retired LVN of 35 years. Effie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Albert, sister Eva Meyers, brother Ernest Shelgren, son-in-laws, Bill Worley and Joe Barcuch. Effie is survived by her 12 children and their spouses, Albert P. Kelm and wife Linda of Elgin, Johnny Kelm and wife Barbara of Thrall, Jimmy Kelm and wife Latrell Maples of Austin, Roger Kelm and wife Jackie of Austin, Ronnie Kelm and wife Jeanine of Thorndale, Billy Kelm and wife Faye of Rockport, Pat Kelm and wife Bobbie of Georgetown, Arnell Gamble and husband Larry, Mary Lou Worley of Thrall, Geneva Barcuch of Granger, Bonnie Morrison and husband Bill, Cathy Munsey and husband Doug. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 3, at Condra Funeral Home from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 4, at Condra Memorial Chapel at 2 p.m. with burial to follow at Taylor City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Curtis Worley, Travis Gamble, Chris Shelgren, Kevin Kelm, Erie Perkins and Joseph Barcuch. The honorary pallbearers will be grandsons. Condra Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
