HOBBS, Mrs. Vera G. of Austin. Age 77. Died 10/1971 (in paper 11/4/71). Services held (Sunday) at the Hyltin-Manor Funeral Home in Austin. Burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Rockdale. Rev. Clyde Majors of Waco officiated. She was BORN c.1894 and a native of Lee Co., had lived in Austin for past 28 yrs. She was a retired state employee and member of the Baptist Church. Her husband, L.C. Hobbs, preceded her in death in 1967. SURVIVORS: 4 sons, Elmer Hobbs of Temple, Marshall, Nolan A. and L.C. Hobbs, Jr., all of Austin; 3 daughters, Mrs. Hansel Townsend of Bastrop, Mrs. V.V. (Ethel) Morrison of Thorndale, and Mrs. Zelma Orme of Georgetown; sister, Mrs. Mary Carter of Victoria; 25 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren.
