Paul G. Urbanek Aug 13,1939-Sept 7,2014 Memorial services for Paul G. Urbanek, 75, will be held Sept. 16, 2014 at St. Rose Catholic Church. Burial of the ashes will follow in the Valley View Cemetery. Paul died Sept. 7, 2014 at his home, and cremation has taken place. Paul was born Aug. 13, 1939 in Scottsbluff, Neb., the eldest son of George and Louise Urbanek. He attended schools at Torrington. He served in the National Guard and also worked campaigns at Holly Sugar Factory. He owned and operated Paul’s Laundromat and worked part time at Buck’s Tire Service. He sold his business to Buck Olson and then went to work at Buck’s Tire Service full time for 20 years. In his retirement years, he worked for family at Zavorka Farms. He moved from south Torrington to Golden Manor in 2013. He commented many times how friendly everyone was there. He enjoyed meeting new faces and always was someone to visit with anywhere and anytime.He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Louise Urbanek; grandparents Fred and Daisy Urbanek and Louis and Antonie Zavorka; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
