Bio
Lucile Merle Selzer Loman was born the eleventh child of twelve on March 15, 1922, to Edward and Freda Selzer in Bradley, Oklahoma at the farmhouse in Bradley. Mrs. Loman passed away September 9, 2014 in Lindsay, Oklahoma at the age of 92 years, 5 months and 24 days. Lucile graduated from Bradley High School. She received her Bachelor’s Degree of Education from the Oklahoma Women’s College in Chickasha, Oklahoma and received her Master’s Degree, with honors, from East Central University in Reading Education. She taught school at Bradley (during War II), Maysville, and Lindsay. Lucile retired after 29 years of teaching. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, UMW and Retired Teachers’ Association. Lucile enjoyed playing cards, rock hunting and working in her flower beds and garden. She also loved the mountains. Lucile married Lloyd M. Loman on May 16, 1943, and to this union three children were born; Loretta, Lynn and Mark. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Freda Selzer, her husband Lloyd Loman and ten brothers and sisters, and one son-in-law Newt Elmore. Lucile is survived by her children; Loretta Elmore, Lynn and Janie Loman and Mark and Tonya Loman, one sister, Frankie Anthony, her grandchildren: Kim Elmore, Lyndel Loman, Chris Elmore, Cortny Woodworth (James), Lacy Pregler (Jonathon), Noah Loman and Jacob Loman, greatgrandchildren: Aschley Loman Tuck (Derick), Krystin Loman Ridley (Traycer), Seth Pregler and Clara Pregler and one great-great grandson, Waylyn Tuck. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Loman are set for Friday, September 12, 2014 at ten o’clock a.m. at the United Methodist Church, located at 114 W. Chickasaw in Lindsay, Oklahoma with Rev. Ron King officiating. Interment will follow at Bradley Cemetery in Bradley, Oklahoma.
