He was a native of Wayne County where he resided for thirty-one years and Lawrence Co. for sixty-six years, retired farmer & trucker and member of the Canaan Freewill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one son, Homer Dee Gallaher; brother, Homer Dale Gallaher, half-brother, Sylvester Mcintyre; two sisters, Chapel Mcintyre Robinson, Pauline Eakins.
