William H. Fisher Jr. is the oldest child of the marriage of Louisa Jane Scott and William H. Fisher who married in Fort Bend County, Texas on 22 October 1840. There were six known children born to this marriage: William H. Jr.(Fannie Branton), David (Fannie Branton), Elizabeth Ann (no further information for Elizabeth Ann after the 1860 census), James Vaughn (Francis Jordan), Eliza Jane (James Standifer), Jeramiah (John Mabry). William Fisher (his father) is listed as Justice of the Peace for Bastrop County, Texas in 1845. The 1850 Bastrop County, Texas census shows William H. Fisher age 35 born Ohio; Jane age 26 born Alabama; William age 08 born Texas; David age 06 born Texas; Elizabeth A. age 04 born Texas; James 03 born Texas; Eliza Jane 01 born Texas. William H. Fisher married Fannie Branton. There was one child born to this marriage: John Wesley Fisher born January 25, 1866. According to research of Clay Fisher, William H. Fisher became a Texas Ranger.
