Bio

H. R. Pitman, aged 70, died at his residence in DeRidder Wednesday night. Mr. Pitman was for seveal years a member of the city council, he was one of the old Confederate veterans and had lived for many years in DeRidder and vicinity. Interment was had in the Hopewell cemetery twelve miles east of DeRidder. Published in Lake Charles American Press February 16, 1918 Thanks to Cindy for the obituary.
