Esther Louise (Bagley) Miller, 94, formerly of St. Joseph, MO. passed from this life on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 in Anaheim, CA. She was born November 2, 1919 in Mount Ayr, IA to the late Albert and Rachel (Maudlin) Bagley. Esther married Garold W. Miller on February 21, 1937 in Mount Ayr, IA and he preceded her in death on March 31, 2000. She was of the Baptist faith and a former member of the Savannah Avenue Baptist Church, St. Joseph, MO and also a member of the Gleaner's class – Sunday School Class (long time 8 year old teacher). Esther was a sales associate for J. C. Penney Department Store. Esther was also preceded in death by one son, Richard M. Miller; three brothers, John Vincent, Clayton and Albert, Jr. Bagley; one sister, Ava Angeloff; and one grandson, Ken Miller. Survivors; one son and daughter in Law, Robert "Craig" and Glenna Miller, Huntington Beach, CA; six grandchildren, Scott Miller, Carol Jackson, Steve Miller, Richard Miller, Charla Thomas, and Randy Miller; seven great grandchildren, Alison Jackson, Erin Jackson, Drew Jackson, Jordan Thomas, Isabella Thomas, Riley Miller, and Owen Miller, and Sebastian Miller; one great great grandchild, Harrison Popp. Celebration of Life will be 1:00 PM Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Gladden –Stamey Funeral Home Chapel, St. Joseph, MO. Interment will be in Ashland Cemetery, St. Joseph, MO. Public visitation and family receiving hours 6 to 8 PM Friday September 12, 2014 at the Funeral Home. Memorial donations are suggested to the Savannah Avenue Baptist Church Building Fund, St. Joseph, MO.
