Mary Marie Wombles January 18, 1930 – January 28, 2021 Marie Wombles, 91, walked through the pearly gates of heaven to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 28, 2021. She was born in Miami, FL on January 18, 1930 to her parents, James and Mary Barker. Marie was a beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, grannie Re/ grannie Apple, and friend. She will be missed dearly. Marie was the most giving and loving Christian women, she helped everyone she could. Marie loved to cook, no one went hungry around momma. She is preceded in death by husband of 25 years, Eddie Wombles; parents, James and Mary Barker; two of her children, Jerry Dale Myers and Gary Edward Myers. Marie leaves behind to cherish her memories her beloved children, Mary Jones, Terry (Tina) Myers, and Sherry (Thomas) Burton; sister, Doris Barberi; daughter-in-law, Sue Myers; a very special friend, Yvonne Hahn; and the apples of her eye, her 9 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 39 great great grandchildren; 4 great great great grandchildren; also, friends, and a lot of Christian family members. She had Six generations living…. Momma loved to spend time with her family. Pallbearers: Jimmy Coberly, Jaime Coberly, David Brobst, Tanner Goodson, Tim Long, and Nate Munro. Officiating: Rev. Avon Fowler, Rev. Larry McKeehan, and Pastor Amanda Hahn. Her going home service will be held on Tuesday, February 2nd, 2021 at Brentwood Assembly of God. Visitation will be at 10:00 am, with at service beginning at 12:00 pm. We will lay Marie to rest at Union Hill Cemetery following the service.
