ANNA GODEL IS CALLED AT FREMONT HOME ON SATURDAY Resident Washington and Dodge Counties All Her Life Mrs. Anna Godel, 59, a resident of Dodge and Washington county practically all her life, died at her home, 504 West Fifth street, Saturday evening, death resulting from a nine weeks' illness, during which her health rapidly declined. Mrs. Godel was born on the Atlantic ocean as her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lallman, prominent Arlington residents for many years, were en route to America. For a short time her parents lived at Quincy, Ill., and then moved to Washington county, where they settled on a homestead. Married at Fontanelle Mrs. Godel was united in marriage to Herman Godel in Fontanelle June 22, 1884, and they took up their residence in Fremont, where they have lived since that time. During her long residence in Fremont, Mrs. Godel has gained many friends and was held in high esteem by all who made her acquaintance. She was a member of the Salem Lutheran church and was a leader in the activities of the church while she was able. She was also a prominent member of the Women's circle of the Woodmen of the World. The Survivors Surviving are her husband, one son, John of Snyder; five daughters, Mrs. Bert Witherby, Omaha; Mrs. Harry Lawless, Hebron; Mrs. J. E. Daly, Mrs. George L. Mercer and Margaret Godel of Fremont; five brothers, William and Henry Lallman, Arlington; Edward Lallman, Fremont; and Fred and Herman Lallman of Grand Junction, Colo.; and one sister, Amanda Fiene of Grand Junction, Colo. Three grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held in the First Baptist church of Fremont Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, Rev. Carl G. Aue, pastor of the Salem Evangelical church officiating. Interment will be made in Ridge cemetery. _____ January 21, 1925, p. 7, col. 3 LAST RITES HELD FOR LATE MRS. ANNA GODEL ON TUESDAY The Baptist church was filled to the doors yesterday afternoon for the funeral services for the late Mrs. Anna Godel, well known and highly esteemed resident of Fremont for many years. There were many flowers sent by scores of friends and acquaintances. Rev. Carl G. Aue, pastor of the Salem Lutheran church, of which Mrs. Godel was a member, officiated at the services. The Lutheran church quartet sang hymns. Pallbearers were J. G. Rogers, Julius Vogelsang, Carl Fritz, John Gnuse, Herman Scheer and Will Lallman. Interment was made in Ridge cemetery.
