ORD -- Lores Lee "Bud" Zikmund, 79, of Ord died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2006, at Valley County Health System Nursing Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Ord Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Michael Chase officiating. Burial will be in the Ord City Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the services Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Zikmund was born Oct. 11, 1926, at Ord to William J. and Mary Katherine (McNamee) Zikmund. He is survived by a brother-in-law, Carol Williams, and his wife, Jeanette, of Ord; a niece, Deb Fischer, and her husband, Trevor, of Ord; two nephews, David Williams, and his wife, Beverly, of St. Paul and Daris Williams of Ord; two great-nieces; three great-nephews; a great-great-nephew and six great-great-nieces. Bud attended Ord Public Schools. Bud spent his entire life farming the Zikmund family farmstead northeast of Ord. He was an avid Huskers Fan. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Vivian Williams and Ardis McIntyre; and a brother, LeRoy Zikmund. Memorials are suggested to the Valley County Health System.
