Martha Catherine "Mattie" Headings was the daughter of Jacob Headings (1836 - 1910) and Mary Jane (Grill) Headings (1839 - 1898). She was born about 13 Apr 1867 and died 25 Mar 1925. Her full-siblings were Lewis Headings (1859 - ?), William Edward Headings (1861 - 1934), Lydia Ella (Headings) Wood Welling (1864 - 1933), Samuel P Headings (1870 - 1871), Lulu Pearl (Headings) Zellers (1872 - 1944), Irwin D Headings (1878 - 1933), Oliver H Headings (1879 - 1880), and Carrie Arminta (Headings) Cory (1880 - 1979). In addition to this, she also had two half-siblings. They were Philip Amos Headings (1894 - 1949) and Hugh Howard Headings (1896 - 1957). Mattie was married on 17 Aug 1889 to George Lewis (1864 - 1938) at Blue Springs, Nebraska. Their children were: Susan Catherine (Lewis) Wandersee (1890 - 1975), Ceola Arminta (Lewis) Snyder (1892 - 1976), George Howard Lewis (1893 - 1964), Jessie Inez (Lewis) Gordon (1895 - 1979), Mamie M (Lewis) Patton (1898 - 1966, and Fay Lewis (1909 - 1972).
