Bio

William Adolph "Boo" Behrens July 6, 1940 - August 22, 2014 William Adolph " Boo" Behrens was born in Round Rock in the family ranch house to Leon Emil Behrens and Onie Loree Detinham on July 6, 1940. He completed high school in Round Rock and entered the National Guard. He met the love of his life and wonderful wife Bessie May Scott while working at Farmers Insurance Group and they were married at Crestview Baptist Church on April 6, 1969. He provided for his family through a variety of occupations showing his many talents given him by God. The greatest gift Boo received from God was the gift of love that he freely shared with all he met. Boo took in many to raise that were not his own. Once Boo took someone in, they were his forever. The love and generosity Boo shared was evident to all who met him and he taught many how to love. While all who knew him are thrilled he is at home with The Lord, those remaining will miss him greatly. He is survived by his wife, Bess, two brothers, Robert and Russell, two sons, William Adolph II and wife Aimee, Kelly Joe and wife Julie, and as his grandchildren, William Adolph III, Derek Ryan, and Ashton Loree, his nephews Glenn, Steven Walden, Steven, Randall, Brian, and niece, Kimberly. Other family given him by God include Leason Hawkins; Carlene, Amanda, and Carl Wayne Scott ; Dency and Terry Hutchings; Greg and Tracy Newton and all of those reading this. In lieu of flowers, Boo's family would appreciate donations made to Palm Valley Lutheran Church. A visitation will take place from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at Beck Funeral Home, Austin/Round Rock. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 25, 2014 at Palm Valley Lutheran Church, Round Rock, TX, with interment to follow at Palm Valley Cemetery.
