Rex David Christensen July 14, 1947 – April 9, 2004 Rex David Christensen, 56, passed away peacefully in the loving arms of his cherished wife, Carol Ann (Olsen) Christensen, Friday April 9, 2004, at their home in American Fork, Utah. Rex was born July 14, 1947 in Provo, Utah to Cyril Rex and Sylvia Mary (Brown) Christensen. He was the youngest of three children. He grew up in Provo and graduated from Provo High School. While attending high school, he met Carol, his soon to be wife, and they dated for 21 months before marrying April 8, 1966. Rex and Carol chose to make their home in American Fork, where they have lived and raised their five children. Rex loved the outdoors! You could usually find him and his wife along with their children and grandchildren fishing, hunting, camping or riding ATV's. They spent most of their time in the mountains of American Fork, on the water of Deer Creek Reservoir, and on the sand dunes of Little Sahara. Rex's children and grandchildren were his pride and joy! Rex is survived by his wife, Carol; and his children, Dan Christensen of Orem, Debbie and Hal Kunze of American Fork, Dave and Jennifer Christensen of Lehi, Don and Angie Christensen of Draper, Dennis and Anna Christensen of Salt Lake City; and his seven grandchildren, Broc, Erica, Daniel, Derrick, Madelyn, Ryan, and Chloe. He is also survived by his sister, Fae Street of San Bernardino, California. He was preceded in death by his parents; and an older sister, Mary Lou Hill. There will be a viewing, Tuesday, April 13th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Anderson and Sons Mortuary 49 East 100 North, American Fork. Funeral services will be held, Wednesday April 14th at 11:00 a.m. in the American Fork East Stake Center, 825 East 500 North. Funeral services will be preceded with a viewing from 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. at the stake center. Interment will be at the American Fork City Cemetery.
