Bio

Wayne Masin was born Feb. 4, 1938, to Barbara Hulinsky and Charley Masin at their home in Burwell, NE. He passed away August 19, 2014 at home in Billings. Wayne married Ruth Wewel on Feb. 6, 1960, and they have five children, Mary (Cal) Bretz, Barb (Roger) Shiffermiller, Joe (Linda) Masin, Ann (Daniel) Salinas, and Dan (Tammy) Masin; and 14 grandchildren. Wayne is survived by one brother, Don (Marlene) Masin. Wayne worked as a construction superintendent building hospitals. Two of his bigger projects were the St. Vincent Hospital remodel and building the new Holy Rosary Hospital in Miles City. After retirement he enjoyed working at Ace Hardware where he made many friends. A vigil will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 27, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. Condolences may be left for the family at smithfuneralchapels.com.
