"Ervin S. Jansing, age 88 of Temple, died Wednesday, August 20, 2014 in a local care center. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 23, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Temple with Rev. Steven Sauser as celebrant. Burial followed at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westphalia. Visitation was 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Friday, with a rosary recited at 7:00 PM at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Mr. Jansing was born October 11, 1925, in Westphalia to John J. and Clara Heese Jansing. He married Katherine C. Pinkert on November 15, 1949. She preceded him in death December 30, 2004. He was a farmer in the Westphalia area and moved to Temple in 1968. He retired from Artco-Bell in 1990. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Temple." Scanio-Harper Funeral Home .
