Bio
Not much is known of our ancestor William Thomas Jackson. Only known census for him is the 1880 census, Deview Township, Woodruff County where he is married to Sarah Ella Lee Jackson and is living next to her father David Jefferson Lee and her brother John H Lee and their families. The census states that he was born in Tennessee and also his mother and father were born in Tennessee. We also learn from the census that he was a farm laborer. They had 3 children who were all born in Arkansas. Samuel Jess Jackson William Robert Jackson Mary Elizabeth "Mollie" Jackson The children are first found on the 1900 census in Oktibbeha, Mississippi living with Sarah's Brother William B Lee and their grandmother Mary Elizabeth Lee. Family history told to Glen Dotson, grandson of Samuel Jess Jackson states that their grave was in Mena Arkansas and on private land marked by a stone.
