Thomas Gdowski of Columbus died Monday, August 18, 2014 at Columbus Community Hospital. Thomas Gdowski was born July 30, 1946 in Columbus, Nebraska to Elizabeth Gdowski. He grew up in Columbus where he attended St. Anthony Grade School and Columbus Public Schools. He worked as a millwright, roofer and highway construction. Tom has owned and operated a scrap metal and used car parts business since 1992. He enjoyed music, family and friends. He is survived by: Sister: Karen (Jan) Dvorak of Columbus Sister: Joann Bernady of Omaha Uncle: James Gdowski of Columbus He was preceded in death by his mother: Elizabeth, sister: Irene Dizanno, uncles: Leo, Tony, Andy, Aloys and Louis Gdowski, aunts: Valeria Sweet and Irene Gdowski
