Jackie Thomas Ellis 72, of Wylie, Texas passed away in Dallas, Texas on Sunday, June 8, 2014. Jackie was born in McKinney, Texas on August 14, 1941. His parents are the late Newt Ellis and Hallie (Ellis) Bates. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He married the late Wanda jean Berry on November 7, 1967. Jackie was a member of the Wylie Church of Christ. Jackie is survived by his children, James Thomas Ellis and wife Tammie, Kenneth Dale Ellis and wife Keitra all of Wylie, Texas; brother, Buck Ellis of Forney, Texas; grandchildren, Kristen, Summer, James Dale, Ravyn Ellis and Christopher Steele and Great-grandchild, Payge Lynn Coulter. Visitation will be held at Allen Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services for Jackie will be at the Wylie Church of Christ on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 10:00 AM. Minister Alvis Nichols will officiate. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Funeral services were under the direction of Allen Funeral Home.
