Bio

Emma Leona Phillips, 84, passed away on Oct. 28, 2009. She was born on July 27, 1925 in Wharton County to the late Frank and Antonio Koudela Muzik. She is survived by her son, David Phillips of El Campo. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bruce Phillips; sisters, Frances Allen, Edith Osina, and Mary Muzik; and brothers, Joe and Cyril Muzik. Visitation will begin at noon on Friday at Triska Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, with funeral services following at 2 p.m., at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church with Rev. Augustine Asante officiating.
