FUNERAL HELD FOR W. T. CLARK Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at. Burneyville for W. T. Clark, pioneer resident of Love County, conducted by Rev. W. H. Mapp. Deceased passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. R. Purdy in Turkey, Texas, Wednesday morning the result of a heart attack. He had gone there on a visit. For 57 years he had been a resident of Love County and was 75 years old. He had been a member of the Baptist church since 1902. All arrangements for the funeral were made by the Burton Home and they brought the remains to Burneyville from Turkey. Burial was made in the Burneyville cemetery. Pallbearers were: Walter Martin, Wayne Tiffin, Tom Davis, Ross Davis, Melvin Copeland, and W. F. Brintle. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. J. S. Hodges, Leon; Mrs. J. R. Purdy, Turkey, Texas; Mrs. E. T.Turner, Quitaque, Texas; Mrs. Willie Hodges, Portales, N. M.; three sons, Jess, Clark Retsil, Washington; W. C. Clark, Rubottom; and D. R. Clark, Odessa, Texas.
