October 9, 1929 issue of The LaFayette Sun O. L. Tomlinson Died October 5th Otis L. Tomlinson, aged 44 years, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Louise Crook, of White Plains, last Thursday after a brief illness. In 1905 he was married to Miss Gennie Lee Clemons and had made his home in this section for many years. Funeral service was held from the Baptist church of Five Points last Friday at 4 o'clock with interment in the cemetery of that city. ************************************** October 9, 1929 issue of The LaFayette Sun In Memory of Mr. Otis Leon Tomlinson His death was indeed a shock to his many friends and relatives who loved him so devotedly, being the baby child of ten children. His sickness was of short duration, being only a few days. In his last hours he asked those around him to pray for him and said I am going to rest, so we will call not back the dear departed, anchored safe with loved ones gone on before. He was born in 1885, being 44 years of age at the time of his death, which occurred at his daughter's home, Mrs. B. N. Crook, at White Plains. He was married to Miss Gennie Lee Clemons in 1905, and were born to this union were two children, A. J. Tomlinson and Lorine Crook.
