Bio
Early Life: Veatrice was born in Richfield, Utah, to Loy Devan and Zella Gurr Roberts on March 5, 1940. She grew up in Sigard, Utah, which she loved dearly. She graduated from Richfield High School and then went on to Holy Cross Hospital where she graduated as a Registered Nurse. Life's Work/Service/Interests: Veatrice moved to Provo, Utah, with her two sisters, Lorena and Marna, where she worked at Utah Valley Hospital over the OB Ward until she retired to become a full-time mother. She married Robert D Rasmussen on June 25, 1965 in the Manti Utah LDS Temple. They were married for 49 glorious years and blessed with four children, three girls and one boy. Her hobbies included puzzles, gardening and traveling (especially Oregon). She started planning the next year’s trip as she got home from that trip! She lived at Art City Nursing & Rehab Center for the last two years of her life, where she became a favorite of many of the residents and staff. Dear, sweet wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Veatrice Roberts Rasmussen, passed away on August 11, 2014, at her beloved home, Art City Nursing & Rehab Center. Survived By: Her husband, Robert; children: Shelley R. Miller, of Provo; Michael D. (Lori), of South Jordan; and Heather R. Payne, of Provo; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
