Marcketa Zrust April 10, 1926 - August 8, 2014 Marcketa Mae Zrust, 88 years of Fremont, Nebraska died Friday, August 8, 2014 at A. J. Merrick Manor in Fremont. Marcketa was born April 10, 1926 in Fremont to John and Maybelle (Fick) Singer. She lived most of her life in Fremont, with the exception of a few years when she lived in Omaha. She attended school in Fremont and graduated from Fremont High School in 1944. She was baptized in 1935 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont. Marcketa married Gerald Wagner in 1945. They later divorced. She married Lumir Zrust in 1954. He preceded her in death in 1995. She was a life member of D.A.V. Auxiliary of Fremont and V.F.W. Auxiliary #854 of Fremont. She was a member of F.O.E. Auxiliary #1834 of Columbus, Nebraska. She volunteered at Nye Point Rehab and Fremont Area Medical Center for many years. She is survived by son, Roy and wife, Cheryl Wagner of Columbus; step-son, Myron Zrust of Omaha; step-daughter, Leatta and husband, Dave Millie of Fremont; two grandchildren and several step grandchildren; four great grandchildren and several step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lumir; and step grandson. Funeral service will be 10 A.M., Wednesday , August 13, 2014 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Rev. Michael McGregor of First United Methodist Church will officiate. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 6-8 PM . Burial at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. Memorials may be directed to Family.
