Bio

Hazel Nell Chapman Hafen, 89, of Springville, died Wednesday, October 26, 1988 at a Provo care center. She was born September 22, 1899 in Faulkner, Kansas to Thomas Madison and Rose Nell Ferguson Chapmann. She married Virgil Otto Hafen , June 29, 1921 in Provo. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS temple. He died in 1949. She is survived by one son and three daughters: Virgel Dean Hafen, Springville; Ruth Chavez, Roosevelt; Mrs. Clark (Gwenda) Allred, Spanish Fork; Mrs. Robert (Lorna) Fotheringham, Lindon; one brother and one sister: Glen E. Chapman, Rowena C. Gurr, both of Rangely, Colorado; 18 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Thora H. Everly.
