Bio
Roy G. Scannell, 73, of 7 Twelfth Avenue, San Mateo, a resident here 30 years, died at Chope Hospital yesterday. A native of Oakland, he was a mechanic with United Airlines. He was a member of S.I.R.S., the San Mateo Lodge 226, F, and A.M., the United Airlines Mainliner Club, the San Mateo Police Reserves, and a retired member of I.A.M. Local 1781. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lillian Scannell of San Mateo; two sons, Leonard of Belmont, and Kenneth of El Paso, Texas; a daughter, Mrs. Maxine S. Martin of Garden Grove; a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Parkhill of Millbrae, and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Sneider & Sullivan Funeral Home, with inurnment at Skylawn Memorial Park.
