Married Afred James Martinek, Sr. on 2 Jun 1935 in Huntsville, Walker Co., Texas. RUBY MARTINEK, 95, of Ellinger,TX passed away Monday, August 27. She was born in Georgia on March 4, 1912 and moved with her family to Texas when she was two. She married Alfred J. Martinek in 1935. Ruby had a wonderful career as a school teacher which lasted for 41 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers and one sister. Survived by: son, A.J. of San Antonio; daughter, Jan and her husband Vernon Jurecka of Ellinger; grandsons Luke and Shane Martinek; and numerous loving family and friends. Funeral service at 10:00 AM Friday, August 31, 2007 at the First Baptist Church in LaGrange, TX. Interment LaGrange City Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM Koenig & Strickland Chapel in LaGrange and Thursday 12 Noon to 8:00 PM at the Jecmenek Chapel in Ellinger.
