Bio
The tombstone lists the date of death as 3 Jul 1912. An obituary states the year of death as 1906. George was the son of Reverend Pleasant Barnett Chandler and his first wife, Mary O'Kelley. He was born in Oglethorpe County, Georgia. He came to Texas with his parents when his father was sent as a missionary from the Georgia Baptist Convention in the Spring of 1845. He married Elizabeth Rebecca Henderson in Washington County, Texas on 25 July 1866. They were the parents of 12 children: 1. Mary Pleasant Chandler, wife of George Cohen Harrison 2.
