(Braun) Faltys, 89, of Schuyler, died Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at the Golden LivingCenter in Schuyler Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Thursday, July 3, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Parish at St. Augustine's Catholic Church with the Reverend Carl Zoucha officiating. Committal will be in the St. Bonaventure's Cemetery in Columbus. Lunch immediately following Mass at St. Augustine’s Parish Hall. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary service, continuing Thursday 8:30-10 a.m. all at Kracl Funeral Chapel. Dolores was born August 9, 1924, in Columbus, to Herman and Josephine (Widhelm) Woerth. She grew up in Columbus and graduated Valedictorian of her class at St. Bonaventure High School in 1942. She worked at Union Pacific Headquarters, in Omaha, and on April 25, 1946, married Art Braun at St. Bonaventure's Catholic Church. They later moved to North Platte. They had two children, Jeanne and Ron. Following Art's death, she and her children lived with her parents in Columbus where she worked at the City Clerk's office. On January 4, 1955, she and Emil Faltys were married at St. Bonaventure's in Columbus. They lived and farmed in the Heun area, north of Schuyler. Emil adopted Jeanne and Ron, and he and Dolores had five children, David, John, Carol, Lorene and Rita. In 1963, she was again widowed and continued to live on the farm until moving to Schuyler in 1975. She then worked at Ben Franklins and later for the law offices of Otradovsky, Bieber and Westadt. She retired in 1994. Dolores is survived by her seven children, Jeanne (Fred) Striefler, of West Simsbury, Connecticut, Ronald Faltys, of Schuyler, David (Debrah) Faltys, of Kearney, Missouri, John (Barbara Wagner) Faltys, of Columbus, Carol (Richard) Wolta, of Schuyler, Lorene (Skip) Oehlrich, of Richland, and Rita (Ronnie) Mundil, of Schuyler; and a brother-in-law, Robert Muhle, of Lincoln. Also surviving Dolores are 22 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; and a sister, Mary Ann Muhle.
