Married Elizabeth H. Jones 3 Sept 1862 in Brownsville, Edmonson Co. TN. Served in the Capitol State Guards Union in the Civil War; recruited at the point of a gun. Moved to Greene Co. MO, around 1883, then moved with a son-in-law to near Wellington Kansas. Leander was a farmer. Funeral services for he and his wife were in the South Street Christian Church, Springfield, MO. They are buried in Robberson Prairie Cemetery near Springfield MO. --by Crow 2014 ∼ Missouri Death certificate # 7579 Leander Lindsey, married white male born 4 October 1844 in Kentucky to Charles Lindsey and Sarah Meredith per informant Mrs. L.
