Bio
Beatrice D. Dixon, 78, died Friday, Aug. 26, 2011, at CarolinaEast Medical Center in New Bern. She was a resident of River Point Crest Nursing Home for the past four years. She was preceded in death by husband William "Bill" Dixon, son Wally Dixon, and daughter Cindy Dixon. She is survived by daughter, Bessie and husband Michael Trahan, their children Adam and Victoria; three brothers, Lee "Buster" Dickson and Margie of Amarillo, Texas, Eldridge "Sonny" Muncy and Ann of Dallas, Texas, Bob Muncy and Annett of Amarillo, Texas; three sisters, Mae Edmaston of Amarillo, Texas, Celia "Blondie" Dickerson of Amarillo, Texas, and Marie Rodgers of Merckle, Texas. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to the staff of River Point Crest, for the wonderful care that Beatrice received. Family will receive friends at Cotten Funeral Home on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011, from 6-8 p.m. Service will be held at Cotten Funeral Home Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 10 a.m.
