Bio

Near Plaucheville, La., on Saturday, March 25, 1922, at 8 o'clock a.m., Caesar Ducote, aged sixty-two years. The funeral took place on Sunday, the service being held at the Catholic church in Plaucheville Sunday morning at 11 o'clock after High Mass, and interment being made in the cemetery at that place. Mr. Ducote leaves a widow and the following children: Mrs. F.A. Ardoin of Alexandria; Oliver Ducote, Albert Ducote, Mrs. Victor Jeansonne, Abby Ducote, Filbert Ducote, Clemile Ducote and Miss Merley Ducote, all of Plaucheville. The latter was attending Bolton High School in this city, but had to leave school on account of the death of her father. Mr. Ducote was a prominent farmer of Avoyelles parish, and was a prominent leader in school work in his community. He will be sadly missed by not only his immediate family, but by a large circle of friends. Police Officer F.A. Ardoin, of this city, whose wife is a daughter of the late Mr. Ducote, attended the funeral on Sunday at Plaucheville. Published in The Town Talk , Alexandria, LA, 28 Mar 1922, Tue, Page 2
