He was a 32-year resident of Commerce and a retired Cotton Belt engineer. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Jones Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Julius Stagner officiating. Burial will be in Rosemound. He was born Sept. 25, 1917 in Linden, the son of Fred and Laura Porter Blizzard. On March 6, 1939, he married Allie Phipps in Texarkana. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include the widow; one son, Teddie Bob Blizzard of Commerce; and one brother, Porter Blizzard of Texarkana.
