Bio

OBITUARY- Dorothy G. Belshan, 91, of Austin, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2002, at St. Mark's Lutheran Home. She was born Dec. 3, 1910, in Freeborn County, to Con and Kari (Skamfor) Haldorson. In 1952, she married Edward Belshan in Austin. They moved to Cass Lake in 1961. He died Jan. 9, 1980. She was a teacher for 40 years and a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Burdette and Kaye Haldorson, Colorado Springs, Colo.; three grandchildren; sister, Irene Shatek, Austin; brother, Glen Haldorson, Tracy, Calif.; sister-in-law, Ardella Haldorson, Austin; a niece. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Visitation: 3 to 6 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 13, 2002, at the funeral home and Monday at the church one hour before the service. Service: 1:30 p.m., Monday, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with the Rev. Roberta Flood officiating. Interment: Bohemian National Cemetery, rural Myrtle. Funeral Home: Worlein Funeral Home, Austin. Memorials: In lieu of flowers.
